Landing page design

Landing pages built for one goal

A single page built for one goal, like booking a call or requesting a quote.

What this is

A landing page exists because a homepage has a conflict of interest. A homepage has to introduce the business, list what you do, prove you are real, and route people to half a dozen places. A landing page has one job, and everything that does not serve it comes off.

Most often it is the page behind an ad, a promotion, or one service you want more of.

What you get

What goes on it

  • 01

    One offer, stated immediately

What it is, who it is for, and what it costs or how to find out, above the fold. A visitor arriving from an ad has less patience than one who found you through search.

  • 02

    One action

A single call to action, repeated. No navigation competing with it, and no secondary path that leaks people back into browsing.

  • 03

    Proof close to the ask

The reason to believe you sits next to the form rather than three screens away from it.

  • 04

A form that asks only what you need

Every extra field costs conversions. The form collects what you need to quote the job and nothing collected out of habit.

  • 05

    Built to load fast

Paid traffic is expensive twice over when the page is slow: you pay for the click and then lose the visitor before the page paints.

What it costs

This is included in the Starter plan, alongside everything in the tiers below it. Setup is $800 one-time setup fee and the plan runs $80/month. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.

A standalone landing page for someone who is not on a plan is quoted after a consult.

How this differs

A landing page is a new page built from nothing for one conversion. Conversion rate optimization is surgery on pages that already exist and already get traffic, and it needs that traffic before it can tell you anything.

It is also not a service area page. Those exist to be found in search for a specific town; a landing page usually exists to receive traffic you are already paying for.

If you are not running ads or a campaign and nobody is being sent to it, a landing page has no audience. In that case what you probably need is the service page on your main site working harder.

Questions

What people ask

Can I buy one page and nothing else?

Bring it to a consult. It is a smaller piece of work than a site and it is quoted on its own terms; what I would want to understand first is where the traffic is coming from, because that changes what the page has to do.

Does a landing page get found on Google?

Usually it is not built for that. A landing page is typically aimed at traffic you are directing to it. If you want a page that earns search traffic on its own, that is a service page, and it is built differently.

How is this different from a page on my site?

Mainly what it leaves out. No navigation, no cross-links, no secondary offers. Those help on a normal site page and hurt here.

Can I have several?

Yes, and it is common to have one per offer or per campaign. What they must not be is the same page with a town name swapped, which is a different thing entirely and one I do not build.
